Update from Duncan Hull (keep me posted Duncan!):

There is talk of EuroFoo, probably to be held in Cambridge. There will also be "bar camps" again, in Cambridge and soon in Manchester.

Man, I wish they'd bring SciFoo over to Europe, how cool is this ? To get a taste, have a look at this Flickr series ! Maybe a SpaceFoo? Probably a bit too exciting for ESA, but ISU perhaps?

Bringing this kind of "unconferences" over Europe would be a great idea but I would'nt call this a "scifoo" if it was astro-specialized. One of the strength of the meeting was the variety of all the attendees (biologists, artists, etc...).

Good point Pierre, I was thinking the same thing after I posted my SciFoo post. Doing a similar event within the constraints of space-only would probably be too limiting to get the real spirit of such an event going.

Well, if you have a EuroFoo, you better invite some Americans, such as a microbiologist from U. C. Davis who has been to scifoo before, for example.

I'll keep that in mind Jonathan ;)
