My Pure Science: Dear Solar Scientists, Recently we were made aware that false colours have been added to the greyscale images coming back from the EIT instrument. As you know, the Red burning ball, Green churning and Blue boiling images of the Sun are in fact black & white images with colour added as a method of categorisation and for aesthetic reasons.
