My Sun-Earth Day: Every year, on April 27 'the People of the World' celebrate Sun-Earth Day. They lay down their work and don their most festive clothing. Large-scale public events re-enact sun-worshipping rituals of the past. The 'People of the World' stage giant picnics where they eat foods representing the Sun. Children everywhere paint their faces with powdered gold and the Women ritually slather their skin with Sun Protection Factor 60 (SPF) emollients. The Public sits on the edge of their collective sofa eagerly listening to reports bearing the latest scientific data from the Solar Fleet in a world-wide CNN broadcast. This scientific information is easily absorbed and bears great cultural significance to All. Solar physicists are revered like rock stars; their work, the subject of late-night talk shows.
