My Sun: The photo, in particular the family photo, is never initially distinguishable from the subject to whom it refers. The photo exists as if to say, 'Look, My Daughter!' and 'Look, My Sun!' We can choose to look at family photos not as a group of individual images (snapshots taken of everybody by everybody) but as a single Work, one that re-asserts the Family. Each snapshot is interchangeable with any other image in this group; each one communicating the notion of the Family, the notion of My Experience, and of My Experiencing My Family. My Daughter: The visual data from SOHO, however exquisite, is equally interchangeable. Visually speaking, you've seen one; you've seen 'em all. These images as a body of Work reassert the contemporary notion of the Sun, and can therefore be seen as the family photos of modern day Solar Science. My Sun is My Daughter's brother, My Daughter is My Sun's sister.
